Welcome to the beautiful world of ACNE!

Little did I know that a brand could have such an (immediate) impact on me! WOW!! Although I had known Acne for quite some time now it is the showroom visit that totally won me over... a relaxed space, house of a mystical collection that designer Jonny Johansson concocted for his infamous worldwide fans.

Mystical prints, drapey fabrics juxtaposed with spot on tailoring and scattered crystals were the theme.

Everything was pretty, the sales people, the clothes, the flowers... as I said EVERYTHING.

No wonder they have taken the fashion world by storm!

WE LOVE ACNE !

A piece of HEAVEN anyone?

Hello there,

I thought I would introduce one of the most brilliant jewelry designers of the moment:

HEAVEN TANUDIREDJA (yup he is really called Heaven, named by his grandmother!)

Heaven, originally from Jakarta, got a BA in fashion design at the Royal Academy of Antwerp and has worked with the likes of Dries Van Noten.

His pieces are so rich in design but also in colour and intricacy. They also emulate a very romantic but also exotic side which must be a result of his roots...

I literally fell in love with some of his pieces and the craftsmanship that went into making them... heavenly!

Super Marios' dress of the month!

Hello my favourite readers!!
This has got to be one of the best party dresses around! I certainly cannot take my eyes off it everytime I come across it at work so I chose it to be THE dress of this month... courtesy of Mr MARIOS SCHWAB @ VISIONAIRE.

p.s. and for those who watched X Factor: didn't Cheryl Cole look hot hot hot wearing it tonight? first David Koma, now Marios? You go girl!

Die Hard-y Fan!

Hello there luvvies,

It has been a little while and I have missed you!
This post is dedicated to the beauty that is PIERRE HARDYs creations.
It has been longly and widely (no pun intended) discussed that his shoes are beautiful but nonetheless some of the most uncomfortbale ones on the shoe designer market... the last is tiny, the arch is high, the width too narrow, etc etc... bascially all of those things that actually make a shoe look sexy!
So here we go starting with my personal favourite:


the flat short pointed ankle boot ! HOT HOT HOT !

the classic peep toe in snake this time ... STAPLE

the double buckle matte nappa peeptoe... cannot stress enough how crazy it looks on the foot! CRAZY!!!

and I've thrown in this little black wedge... comes in super handy for those hectic days where you gotta run some errands.. or rather shall i say "shopping"?!!

Now if only they would fit every single lady that falls in love with them... Instead of feeling they are auditioning for the Cinderella sequel: The shoe that never fit! Boohoo.. it is not that bad, i promise :)

Besides that, I just got back from London, can't and won't do Milan. Do not like the fashion there, it is super boring and always the same.. Paris is on the schedule soon / that is a tough cookie so I rather save my energy for that trip...

London was great.. will post about it soon.

I figured "et vous?" is a silly question, right?

Who doesn't love Rick and his clothes? This new RICK OWENS collection is pure, simple and as always has that je ne sais quoi that only Rick does best... the attention to detail that makes each piece simply perfect *swoon*.

on a side note, a thought goes out today for all victims of 9/11! may they RIP

Totally forgot to post these pics. Was at THE Grace Jones concert, THE best one she could have ever performed at.

Grace Jones performing in Monte Carlo is an Iconic moment and you name it everyone was there... Sir Elton, Dame Shirley, Hedi Slimane yup... as I said, you name it... they were there... and ME (best seat)!

She has always been a massive influence, mainly fashionwise. Just look at the pics above and you will understand.. sadly the other pictures I took were not as clear.

And to top it all off I was picked to go backstage with the Elton, Hedi, etc possee...and she signed my Disco Years book for me... THANKS GRACE, I LOVE YOU!
